So...About Camp
I sent in my camp application recently and it got me to thinking about past camp experiences...good and bad.
Good Things: I love camp. It is a time to spend with your old friends and a time to make new ones. I love to hike when I don't have Dustin as a brother cabin counselor. I will tell about that in the bad section. At Kadesh, there were about 500 kids there and I promise, like 425 of them could sing really well. It is SOOOOO much fun to sing with people who can sing. I had a little thing with this boy named Aaron at Kadesh, but I wasn't allowed to "date". I told the kid that but he still followed me around everywhere. It was kind of fun though:). The banquet at Blue Haven has always been a fun time. Even if you don't get asked, it is still great. I love singing fun songs at CBH and the Talent Shows at every camp. I love Twins Day and swimming. All the great Bible lessons. Trading Post, Nuke'em, archery, air riflery, and much much more.
Bad Things: Okay. About Dustin. I really like Dustin as a person but as a hike leader...I despised him. Okay, maybe I'm over-reacting a little. Our 2 cabins left after every one else's cabins. We hike(or should I say ran?) 4 and 3/4 miles and then hiked back. So all in all we hiked 9 1/2 miles. Our cabin got back before everyone else's. We hiked more than any other 2 cabins in less time than every one.(3 hours). Yeah, it was pretty crazy. I had a blister the size of a quarter and I am not exaggerating. And one time, my sister Taylor entered me in a pie eating contest right after supper. I ate half of it and started crying. It was an apple pie. Ugggghh. I will try to post more on this subject later. I have to get ready for church. :)

I didn't know you had been in a pie eating contest! Yuck! Why didn't Taylor enter herself in the pie eating contest? Or did she? Very very gross. About the rap- it went over very well. I had comments from almost everyone there who told me that they loved it, that it was hilarious, etc. It really did go well, if I do say so myself. The winner was a girl who basically had a very heartfelt letter of love-type essay to her husband. It was very sweet. Maybe it is because I don't go to church there. They had to vote in class on Sunday morning. We weren't at class on Sunday, since we've been trying to go to Burleson. Or maybe everyone just liked hers better? Anyway- how could he win the title of "Mr. Wonderful Southside 2006" if we don't even attend there? Thanks for listening to me for like an hour while I switched around ideas and threw ideas off you. And Hannah-- no more pie eating contests!
i love you
